Education
I retired from a career in engineering in the summer of 2016. I hold a BSME degree and did a minor in math. I took advanced math classes above college calculus and had a 4.0 in all math courses. I also did graduate work in engineering and business.
Experience
A few years ago, my daughter was struggling in college level math and so I begin to tutor her on-line and by phone. The result was she went from a C student to an A student in classes from basic algebra up to and including calculus. During my engineering career, I was often asked to mentor younger staff members and obtained a reputation for my patience, listending ability and ability to bring these staff people up to and beyond what was required for their positions. I have had the opportunity to do some consulting after retirement but would now like to turn my attention to helping middle/high school studients succeed in math both for higher grades in school and to prepare for college entrance tests such as the SAT.

Hobbies
I continue to read and review technical publications to keep up on engineering developments and often take SAT practice tests on-line to make sure by skills are at peak form. I am an avid football fan probably stemming from having played at an earlier age. Currently starting to play golf. Both my wife and I like to travel and are involved with local cultural activities such as symphony/plays/etc.
