Experience
I'm a tutor who graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics. I'm experienced in teaching in groups and one-on-one arrangements. Here is a sample of subjects I tutor in: Algebra 1, Calculus 1, SAT Math, MCAT Verbal Reasoning, Elementary Math, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and more.As a teacher and a former student, I know that learning doesn't always follow a straight pattern. Lessons should be designed to cater to a student's individual needs, objectives, and learning styles. For example, the way I learn is through viewing illustrations like tables and graphs. I also like to use reasoning when I learn new material. With unfamiliar words, I study their etymologies. With theorems, I analyze their proofs. And with learning mechanisms, I observe their comparable systems.Though I have experience mentoring students the same age as me, I don't mind helping younger students since I'm an older sibling. When I'm not tutoring, I love to watch and play soccer, basketball, and football. I also love to cook and experiment with various new recipes. My other favorite hobbies include watching television, listening to music, playing video games, and taking a stroll through the city of Austin, Texas.
