Education

I received my AA from FSCJ in 2012, focusing in chemistry. I have Chemical Laboratory Specialist and Scientific Workplace Preparation technical certifications. I am currently a senior in both the Biotechnology Laboratory Technology A.S. and Biomedical Sciences B.S. programs at FSCJ. GPA > 3.7. I am also working on my Biotechnology Specialist in Manufacturing and Biotechnology Laboratory Specialist in Health Sciences technical certifications.

Experience

I worked in the math/science tutoring lab at FSCJ for more than one year. I have also done private tutoring in mathematics and sciences. I have completed more than 180 credit hours of college, mainly in STEM courses. I also have 77 vocational school credit hours in electronics maintenance and repair. I like tutoring because it helps keep me sharp in all of the classes. Also, each student is different, so private tutoring is a much better way of dealing with some of the complicated concepts.

Hobbies

I have volunteered in the Mayo Clinic pathology department for more than a year. I write, and have published, philosophy monographs. I read and watch documentaries about cosmology and astrophysics. I am interested in nanotheranostics and nanobiomimetics; my recent proposal to the NIH for nanotheranostics in prion detection and treatment was unfortunately turned down due to funding restraints.
