Graduated: January 2015.
ExperienceI have experience as a tutor through both a tutoring company and tutoring adults to help them attain a GED.
I've taken classes in Public Speaking, Earth/Space Science, Environmental Science, Cultural Diversity, etc...
I make the study of writing, reading comprehension, earth/space science, and social studies a hobby and extreme interest of mine and am well versed in these subjects, as well as related subjects.
While in high school, I made a perfect score of the Florida Writes portion of the former FCAT and have won writing competitions.
I made straight A's throughout my Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
I want to be a tutor to help others gain understanding, because I believe that knowledge and critical thinking are the greatest gifts humankind can utilize and enjoy.
HobbiesMy name is Angelea Beatrice Sakai Wooham. I am 28 years old and I have two children.
I have an INTJ personality type (the scientist). For more information on my personality type, please go to the following web address:
I am part Asian (but I do not look Asian) and was raised with what you may call traditional Asian values.
I spend a lot of my time watching documentaries and reading academic journals in various subjects because I highly enjoy learning and researching topics that interest me.
When I am not pursuing knowledge, I can usually be found reading a book or manga, writing, listening to music, or watching anime.
I am a very tolerant person and believe firmly in equality for all people.
To end, I will share my five favorite quotes:
"At heart, I'm an academic. Being an academic means I don't wield power over person, place or thing. I don't command armies; I don't lead labor unions. All I have is the power of thought." - Neil DeGrasse Tyson
"You must be the change you want to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi
"Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known." -Carl Sagan
"We have to live today by what truth we can get today and be ready tomorrow to call it falsehood." ~William James
"Should we dismiss science because it has its subjective side? Quite the contrary: The realization that human thinking always involves interpretation is precisely why we need researchers with varying biases to undertake scientific analysis. By constantly checking our beliefs against the facts, as best we know them, we check and restrain our biases. Systematic observation and experimentation help us clean the lens through which we see reality." - Myers, D. G. (2010).
