Hello. I have both my undergraduate degree (in Chemistry) and my graduate degree (in Education) from the University of Maryland in College Park. For more than eight years, I have instructed test prep for college-bound students. In that same time, I worked with students who either had special needs or some type of developmental delay. My teaching experience literally ranges from college classes down to early childhood ed. My passion for teaching comes from the joy I receive in inspiring others and creating an impetus for change. During my years of formal learning, I had exceptional teachers who continually challenged me to improve. Now, I want to have that same type of influence with students. I know that when I find what really motivates them, I can work with them to develop a plan that will enable them to realize success in their academics and their career. Math is my top choice for tutoring. I particularly enjoy helping a student who has a stated aversion to math. These students simply have not yet been properly taught the language of math. Educational success opens doors, and I want my students to realize that their possibilities are endless. I live in Orlando, Florida. I enjoy Disney (of course), Harry Potter, swimming, and going to movies (mostly comedies).
