I'm currently a student at Georgia State, working to complete a master's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have my elementary school teaching certification and an endorsement to teach English as a second language, which I earned at Spellman College. I've spent more than five years teaching in small group and one-on-one settings, and I believe that personalized learning environments are vital to students' academic success. It's my past experiences with teaching that have shaped my passion for tutoring, and I truly believe that all students can achieve academic success if they have the right environment in which to learn.I pride myself on being able to create a learning environment that is organized and supportive. I want all of my students to feel comfortable asking questions as they learn new material. I tutor students in elementary math, reading, writing, phonics, math, and English. I also offer test prep services to students preparing for the SSAT, and I'm able to tutor ESL/ELL students.In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, and yoga.
