Private tutor in Jacksonville, FL

Education

I have a bachelor's degree in Human Development from Cornell University in upstate New York. I graduated from Cornell with concentrations in Cognitive Development and Developmental Behavioral Neuroscience and a GPA of 3.76. My SAT composite score was 2180, with a strength in critical reading.

Experience

As a Human Development major in college I both studied children and worked with them regularly. I have taught elementary school children in Western Uganda. I have also taught pre-schoolers spatial knowledge and been involved in the facilitation and design of a Spanish enrichment program for elementary school children in Ithaca NY. I want to tutor because I love children and like the idea of helping a few of them find an easier way through school. In my experience many children benefit (emotionally and academically) from learning how to think strategically about school and I'd like to help them do that (on top of helping them learn their school material).
