I'm a tutor who is based out of Jacksonville, Florida, where I enjoy singing and writing poetry when I'm not in the classroom working with students. As a tutor, I'm able to help students in a variety of subject areas. Some of the lessons I've taught in the past have been in computer science, English as a second language, and writing, amongst other things. I'm currently working as an instructional coach, where I specialize in reading for students in grades 1 - 12. I also help students prepare for the ACT. I have over 22 years of teaching experience, which has taught me that every student has the potential to master any subject they dedicate themselves to. As a tutor, I see it as my role to help my students by guiding them in a way that allows them to unlock their full potential. I love using the latest technology to really engage my students and keep them interested in our lessons. I get to know my students and create a fun environment where they actually enjoy coming to work with me. I provide individualized lesson plans that help my students by providing targeted exercises and feedback suited to their specific strengths and weaknesses.
