I went to Jacksonville University and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology. I'm now helping children with learning disabilities and other learning difficulties. I have quite a bit of experience helping students with dyslexia. I have seven years of experience helping children become better readers. I can assist students with reading comprehension, reading fluency, and spelling. I help students hear and see the sounds they are working with, which help students visualize how to read and spell. I've also been a substitute teacher. I can tutor students in subjects like English at the college level, elementary school math, reading, special education, writing, phonics, ISEE prep, and SSAT prep. To me, reading is a crucial skill to develop because of the fact that it is utilized in every academic subject throughout the student's educational career.
