Currently volunteer with CAL-Jacksonville Public Library assisting adults preparing to take GED tests. Have taught and tutored at levels from grade school to Bachelor's level students. Honestly, I did NOT do well on most standardized tests, however, I have re-learned how to be a student and steadily mastered all of the material required for educational success (look at my BA GPA in relation to my MA; clearly I learned something!) I am a well-rounded individual with multiple interests and life experience who can relate to pretty much anyone. Together we CAN learn!

Hobbies

My first love is animals and I am owned by a very demanding cat! I also enjoy cooking, reading, watching movies and live bands, and traveling. Life is a banquet and I want to taste it all! I have trained Greyhounds, which is inherently challenging because they are not the same as teaching other breeds. Challenges are readily accepted here and I enjoy meeting and exceeding expectations.
