Associates of Arts: Philosophy Major with a minor in Literature at Florida State College at Jacksonville - Graduated 2013 Bachelors of Science: Bomedical Science Major with Pre-Med pathway at The University of North Florida - In progress, Junior year. I am a student at the University of North Florida looking to expand my horizons and obtain educational experience while pursuing my professional career. My goal is to earn a Masters degree in biology and continue on to teach high school and college level biology. It is often said that if you can teach a subject to someone else, you know it completely. Being a tutor would allow me to gain this educational experience while assisting your student in obtaining a greater understanding of any subject they struggle in. The word "Educate" in Greek means "to bring out"; my intention is to bring out the best in your child. The point of education is not to give them shortcuts and formulas but to bring out their ability to think critically and truly understand their subject. I have been in gifted for my entire pre-collegiate education and have attended both James Weldon Johnson Middle and Stanton College Preparatory High magnet schools. For gifted and magnet students, I understand the rigor of their courses and I am familiar with the expectations of those curricula, which is quite useful for students struggling in rigorous courses.

Tutoring experience with T.A.T Program at the Malivai Washington Foundation Center located at 1096 W. 6th Street, Jacksonville, FL. Experience is with children ages 6-12. AP Scores: Based on standard 1 - 5 Scale AP Psychology - 5 AP Biology - 4 AP U.S. History - 4 AP Language Arts - 4 AP Literature - 4 AP European History - 3 ACT Score Overall - 28 Reading and Writing score - 34 I am proficient in the fine arts, sciences, and humanities and have focused my studies in these areas for 7 years starting from high school until now. I can teach up to trigonometry and Pre-calculus as well.

Hobbies
I love academics, but I definitely do not spend all of my time cooped up with my nose in a book! I go on many outdoor adventures including hiking, snorkeling, and camping. I am a lover of the Florida natural springs and the beauty our state has to offer. I encourage every family to visit, enjoy, and protect Florida's beautiful natural resources such as Ginnie Springs, Devil's Den, and Blue Springs. I love animals and as a result I have two wonderful dogs that I love to take on trips to the beach and park. I also enjoy painting and crafts, and I have a deep appreciation for art and music of all genres.
